							A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is an electronic document that verifies a person’s identity online, allowing secure digital transactions and e-signatures. It ensures data authenticity and integrity, making it essential for secure online filings and document signing.						  
						
							DSC is usually applied by a customer. The certifying Authorities (eMudhra) needs the identity and address proof that is Aadhar and Pan with email id, Mobile number, correspondence address details. 
The customer goes through mobile OTP verification, email OTP verification , Video verification with uploading his pan card and aadhar card.
Then the certifying Authority verifies and approved the DSC.
Once the DSC is approved, it will be downloaded to the micro-USB token. Then the customer plugs in the token to any computer and uses it.

							Yes, Digital Signature Certificates are valid for a specific period (usually one or two years). You can renew your DSC before it expires by submitting a renewal application on our website.						  
						
							USB Token is a device like pen drive that stores the DSC or downloads the DSC to the token. 						  
						
							A digital signature token works by securely storing a user’s digital signature certificate, which is then used to sign electronic documents.
Plug in the Token: Insert the token (like HYP Token or ProxKey) into a computer’s USB port.
Authenticate: The user enters a PIN or password to access the certificate stored on the token.
Sign Document: The digital signature is applied to the document, encrypting it and confirming the signer’s identity.
